The
company was started in 1994
by Bill Considine, an experienced electronics, optical
and process engineer who was already a consultant in
spectroscopic instrument design.
Having
undertaken a number of development projects for third parties,
they became involved in manufacturing by designing and building
an electronics board for the microParts miniature spectrometer,
and then their own MATCHBOX range of miniature spectrometers.
Since forming the company has expanded with both consultancy
work for third parties and the development of further own
manufactured products.
